Looking To Join More Affiliate Programs

You might not know this, but before my eBooks and courses took off, affiliate income made up for over 72% of my blogging revenue. And it is in fact how I made my first $100 blogging ever.

By finding the right products to promote to my – back then – super small following.

Because, unlike ads, if you want to make money blogging with affiliate sales, you don’t need a huge email list or thousands of website visitors.

You just need to find the right products, services and tools to promote to your readers and mention in your content.

And while having a good affiliate marketing strategy in place is important, a lot of new bloggers overlook how important it is to choose the right affiliate programs to join.

So in this email, I’m going to share with you a few quick tricks that I used to find the best affiliate programs for my niche and my audience.

STEP #1 – Make a list of brands you actually love

When you’re just getting started with affiliate marketing and you’re just learning how to sell to your audience, the best way for you to start is by promoting brands and products that you actually use and love.

So make a list of all the (relevant) products, brands, services and companies that you would honestly recommend to others.

Make sure to also write down all the products/brands that you’ve already mentioned in your blog posts or talked about on social media.

This way, you can replace those links with affiliate links, and simply talk about them honestly – telling your audience why you used it, what you loved about it, and in the name of honesty, what you didn’t 100% love as well!

STEP #2 – Find out if those brands have an affiliate program

Once you’ve made that list, all you have to do is to find affiliate programs for those brands and products – if they have one.

The quickest way to do it is by simply googling the name of the brand + “affiliate program”.

Chances are, that if they have an affiliate program, they also have a page with more information on how to join on their website.

If you’re looking to become an affiliate for a specific product, then you need to find out where that product is sold online. (Look for big retailers such as Amazon, Target, Walmart or niche online shops.)

STEP #3 – Find alternative affiliate programs

What usually happens after that, is that you are left with a few products that are not sold online.

The next step is for you to offer alternatives to your audience – either similar products that you did find an affiliate link for, or other products altogether that serve the same purpose.

Odds are that there might still be a few products or services out there that are perfect for your audience and your blog, that you don’t personally use or haven’t heard of yet.

When that happens, you need to expand your horizons a little bit and research alternative affiliate programs. This is the tricky, time-consuming part.

And while you can totally do this on your own, it will take a lot of time, and you might not come across a lot of the affiliate programs that are meant for you.

>> That is exactly why my online friean Ana created the Affiliate Programs Masterlist!

(Currently on sale for 30% off!! Just use the code BTB30OFF at checkout.)

After hearing back from a dozen of bloggers who were ready to get started with affiliate marketing, but they simply couldn’t find things to promote that would fit in naturally with their content, Ana decided to do all this research!

After a couple of months of work, she put together the ultimate list of affiliate programs, and broken down each program to show you how much commission you will make, what the payment threshold is (how much you have to earn before they send you your check), and she even included a direct sign-up link so that everything you need to know is just a click away.

Ana spent countless hours researching all this so you don’t have to!
