Last week, I read an interesting comment on one of my YouTube videos…
“If you’re so rich, Dan, then why are you still working?”
That’s a very good question.
In the beginning of my career, I didn’t want to work.
I wanted to retire young. I wanted to get so rich that I didn’t have to work again.
And I got there – at age 27.
Guess what happened next?
I went to the beach for 5 days in a row – then I got bored.
I watched movies every day for a whole month – then I got bored.
I did all the things that retired people were “supposed to do” – and I was bored out of my f*cking mind.
So I asked myself one profound question that changed everything…
“What is the one thing I would do if I had to do it for the rest of my life?
And I realized…
One of the things I loved was teaching – I loved making others good, I get a thrill out of it.
And by tapping into that, I was able to grow because I loved what I was doing.
I was able to grow my YouTube channel to 1.7m subscribers.
I was recently featured on the front cover of Success Profiles Magazine.
And I have amazing fans that love my message.
It’s all because I chose to do the work I love.
That’s what I believe we should all do – you too.
Get money out of the way first, so you never have to work again.
Once you do that, do the work that you love for the rest of your life.
